The Aneurysm-NL consortium is committed to supporting and inspiring its young researchers! To stimulate innovative research and collaboration, several funding opportunities are now available for PhD and Postdoc candidates:
- Annual Research Grants (2026–2029): Pilot studies and exchange projects to strengthen skills and foster collaboration within the consortium.

Open Call for Aneurysm-NL Young Talent Research grant
We are pleased to announce the Aneurysm-NL consortium research grant, supporting collaborative projects that strengthen interdisciplinary partnerships and advance knowledge related to aneurysm care and research.
This call aims to encourage new or deepened collaborations between researchers within the Aneurysm-NL consortium, with a strong focus on generating preliminary data (pilot studies) or facilitating crucial knowledge exchange (e.g., training, method sharing). The ultimate goal is to promote sustainable partnerships and contribute to future, larger funding opportunities for the consortium.

What can you apply for
- Pilot study: A small-scale study aimed at generating preliminary data.
- Knowledge exchange project: A project focused on knowledge transfer, such as a fellowship or training visit, or the development of shared methodologies.
Project criteria
- A well-defined research project, with a clear research question that can be answered within a 1-year period after the start.
- A clear description of how the project contributes to the mission of Aneurysm-NL.
- A letter of approval from your supervisor.
- The proposal should be novel and not substantially overlap with currently funded work.
- Include a detailed budget sheet in your submission.
Budget and Eligible Costs
The maximum grant amount is €5,000. Salary costs are not eligible.
Funding can be used for:
- Research activities
- Travel and accommodation related to knowledge exchange

Required Output & Dissemination
Successful projects are required to provide the following:
- An annual report must be submitted, including the results achieved and the actual costs realized.
- The results must be presented at the annual Aneurysm-NL meeting.
- A concise summary of the project and results must be submitted for the Aneurysm-NL website.
